Onet, Agora/Gazeta.pl and Diversity Hub joint the project’s Network of Partners. Welcome!

From the onset of the project we assumed that new and practical knowledge on the implementation of diversity management as innovation in journalism will be best produced, shared and discussed with the help of the project’s Network of Partners. We envisioned this Network to include affiliated news industry research partners, media organizations and professionals devoted to the cause of advancing social inclusion in the media.

We’re excited to announce that our Network has three new Partners:

Diversity Hub is a think-thank that works to create innovative solutions aimed to improve effective implementation of diversity management in organizations in its main dimensions such as: age, gender, (dis)abilities, intercultural differences, etc.

Onet is one of the largest and the most opinion-forming Polish-language internet portals, popular in the category of information and opinion. Onet was established in 1996, since 2012 its owned by Ringier Axel Springer Polska (RASP). RASP’s Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion Sandra Subel is also on the Project’s Advisory Board.

Agora/Gazeta.pl is one of the largest media companies in Poland, operating since 1989. Diversity and openness are values that constitute an integral part of the business activities and employment policy of Agora and its companies from the capital group.

Some of the Partners are signing letters of intent where we confirm the intention to cooperate within the project’s framework. The project aims to develop new knowledge on innovative approaches to diversity management, launched by newsrooms and media organizations with the objective of increasing newsrooms’ discursive diversity. Thus with the signing of the letter we agree that diverse and inclusive media are a cornerstone of healthy democracies and open societies. As Partners we also hope that the project’s output will contribute to journalism studies, and media and communication scholarship and practice, bringing in empirical substance to the current debates at the nexus of changing newsrooms cultures, journalism, innovation and digital media, but also to questions of safety of journalists and freedom of expression.

Welcome on-board. We’re looking forward to our collaboration!
