We are pleased to announce the publication of a new open access article, “Diversity Management Practices in Polish Media: A Longitudinal Study of Newsroom Decisions Before and During the War in Ukraine,” authored by Anna Jupowicz-Ginalska and Greta Gober. This study, published in the Polish Political Science Review, examines how Polish media managers have addressed issues related to Ukraine and the Ukrainian community in Poland during both pre-war and wartime periods.

Key Insights from the Study

Diversity Management Practices: The research identifies specific diversity management strategies employed by media organizations, including staff selection, editorial planning, news verification, psychological support, and language policies.

Evolving Editorial Decisions: The study captures the shifting perspectives of editors at three critical points—one month before the war, immediately after its onset, and approximately one year later.

Audience Engagement and CSR Initiatives: The article also explores media managers’ perceptions of public attitudes toward different communities and corporate social responsibility efforts undertaken by media organizations in response to the war.
