The conference is organized by the Fulbright Program in Poland. The program celebrates its 65th anniversary through organizing a 2-day conference, planned for April 11-12, 2024.

Greta Gober will join Session I: Discussion panel – Quality journalism in diverse newsrooms. Together with other panelists and building on the results of the Managing Newsroom Diversity project, Greta will discuss what representation in the media means today, specifically in Poland, Sweden, and the UK, and what are the challenges of achieving diversity in journalism.

The discussion panel will bring together:

  • Joanna Stempień, a senior news editing reporter in TVN24 BIS, chair of the panel 
  • Greta Gober, a researcher and the Principal Investigator of a Norway-grants funded “Diversity management as innovation in journalism” project 
  • Margaret Amaka Ohia-Nowak, a diversity, equity and inclusion consultant and trainer with 15 years of experience, and a racial justice activist
  • Graham Griffith, a media strategist and a journalist from the USA, currently at the Center for the Study of Democracy (Bulgaria).

The panel is planned for day one of the conference (Thursday, April 11 at 11:50 am – 1:00 PM). The venue for the conference is Central Technology House (Centralny Dom Technologii) at 50 Krucza street (center of Warsaw).
